Global gypsum G2 is an Irani gypsum plaster made for application on almost all backgrounds, e.g. brickwork, block work or concrete, suitable for application like POP punning (over Sand & Cement Plaster), bull marks, level strips, etc. It has special additives for enhanced setting time helps in controlling the onsite wastages. It provides perfectly lined and leveled surface providing a perfectly flat surface ready for painting.

Global Gypsum G2 Plaster is suitable for providing:

Features & Benefits

  1. Extra whiteness
  2. Coverage of 75 Sq meters/MT at 13 mm thickness*No shrinkage cracks.
  3. Eliminates two-step process of Sand Cement Plaster and POP punning
  4. Initial setting time of 15 – 20 minutes *
  5. Low thermal conductivity keeps the room cooler in summer and warmer in winter
  6. Doesn’t require water curing
  7. No shrinkage cracks
  8. Noncombustible (when tested in accordance with BS: 476: part 4:1970), therefore a good form of thermal protection to the building structure.
  9. With improved Thermal resistance properties. (Thermal Resistance R = 0.07m²K/W at 13mm thickness)

Mixing instructions

  1. Global gypsum G2 is pre-mixed with aggregate and only clean water needs to be added to prepare it for use.
  2. Mixing should be carried out in a clean tray or bath. Excessive mechanical mixing should be avoided.
  3. Tools and water used in mixing must be clean.
  4. Contamination from previous mixes can shorten the setting time and in turn reduce the strength of the plaster when set.
  5. Water to plaster ratio (1 part of water: 1.25 part of plaster by weight) should be maintained to have good cohesive workable mix.
  6. Prepare plaster mix as much as required depending upon the immediate scope of work.

Note: Once the mix has begun to set, additional water is not to be added, as performance properties of plaster will get altered, thus affecting workability, cohesiveness, adhesion properties and strength.

Application instructions

1. Surfaces to be clean of dust and oil residue before applying.
2. Don’ t applies when temperature is below freezing.
3. Application of epoxy paint is not recommended.
4. Please consult your paint vendor/manufacturer on the correct primer for application
onto gypsum surfaces.

5. For detailed application refer to Global Gypsum Plaster Guide Booklet or contact the Customer Contact Centre +919821165575
6. Store inside on a level surface, off the floor, in a dry place protected from the weather.
7. For interior use only.

Note :

  1. As in good building practice, roof, windows and doors should be installed before plastering with Global gypsum G2 (to help prevent dry-outs and ensure consistant setting).
  2. Global Gypsum G2 should not be used in areas where walls are washed with hosepipes, in showers or in industrial type kitchens.

Precautions

  1. Dissimilar expansion and contraction of RCC and brick / stone masonry could cause stresses and at times separation. To reduce the separation cracks, use of 145 GSM glass fiber mesh (at the junction) is recommended.
  2. It is not suitable for use in long continuously damp or severely humid conditions.

Covering Capacity

The approximate coverage of a 25kg. of Global Gypsum G2 Plaster is:

  1. 3m2 applied to a thickness of 5 – 6 mm
  2. 2m2 applied to a thickness of 13mm
